"...books that "Enspyre" me!"
By Elias Ek
These are books that I tend to read again and again.
Often I go back and read the "good" parts and skip the
boring stuff. Richard Branson?s book is a great example; When
you first read it every page will seem riveting, but at least
for me, now I tend to skip the parts about ballooning and go straight
for the entrepreneurial. Just a matter of taste I guess. These
books help me put my own life, business and actions in perspective
and if not anything else they are entertaining! Enjoy!

The E-myth
Michael E. Gerber
The E-Myth is all about how we should
think about why on earth we would start a business. If it
is in order to get a better life, more money and more health,
why are we working harder, for less money and no time off?
The E-Myth teaches us about better ways to organize
the business to help us reach our goals. |

Losing My Virginity: How I've Survived, Had Fun,
and Made a Fortune Doing Business My Way
Richard Branson
My big hero! I could care less about ballooning
but anyone who can start a transatlantic airline in only
4 months deserves a fair deal of respect. And what attracts
me the most is thatit really seems like he has fun doing
it. This is a dose of enthusiasm that anyone can get high
on. |

The Customer Comes Second
Hal Rosenbluth
This is easier said than done but makes
so much sense when you read it. Anyone who has ever called
a company and get to talk to a happy, helpful and energetic
person knows how much that influences your opinion about
that company. But how can an employee be happy unless the
work environment is positive. Lots of good points of thought
for business owners and managers. |

Jack: straight from the gut
Jack Welch & John A. Byrne
Jack has seen his star fall a little bit
lately but one can still only marvel at the results that
GE enjoyed while he were their CEO and Chairman. I read
this book and try to take in and learn how GE managed and
developed over 300,000 employees. |

Essential Manager's Manual
Robert Heller & Tim Hindle
This is a huge thick book that sits on
my desk and I look in it whenever I need some guidance regarding
specific management issues. I don't always agree but it
is really helpful to get someone elses point of view.

Amazon.com: Get Big Fast
Robert Spector
Amazon is of course a huge success story
by now. And as a hopeful entrepreneur I find it to be irresistable
to read about how "they" got started. This book
is a little bit too admiring of Jeff Bezos to be really
tasty, but there's enough interesting and inspiring in there
to make it worth reading. |
