Taipei, April 15, 2026 — The American Chamber of Commerce in Taiwan (AmCham Taiwan) and Enspyre today co-hosted the AI Connect #2, themed “No Room for Error: AI You Can Trust, from MedTech to Defense.” The event brought together AmCham member companies and Taiwan’s leading AI startups to explore how AI is being applied in environments where performance, safety, and accountability are critical.

“I’ve looked at the sign-up list and I see a diverse group here—marketing companies, people with experience in government, as well as incubators, investors, and more. AI is exactly what’s happening: AmCham is bringing us together to build a shared future. So thank you very much, AmCham, for letting us be part of this.”-Elias Ek, CEO of Enspyre

The event offered attendees exclusive networking with startup founders and corporate leaders, leadership insights drawn from real-world cases of risk and innovation, and cross-sector dialogue bridging the corporate-startup divide.

Launched by AmCham Taiwan in September 2025, AI Connect is a curated B2B event series designed to foster business-to-business engagement and cross-sector dialogue, with a focus on localized, industry-driven connections. This edition centered on real-world AI deployment in high-stakes industries — from patient care to mission-critical operations — where the margin for error is virtually zero.

Four MedTech startups presented applied AI solutions: AB DigiHealth, focused on improving IVF success rates through innovation; Anivance AI, leveraging organ-chip technology to support drug development decision-making; CancerFree Biotech, integrating AI and patient-derived organoids to decode cancer drug response from a single blood draw; and RadiRad, delivering AI-powered cardiac solutions for accurate blood pressure monitoring. AmCham member Shield AI, whose mission is to protect service members and civilians with intelligent systems, contributed an enterprise perspective on AI deployment in defense contexts.

The agenda also featured Nicole Chan, Chairperson at Artificial Intelligence Foundation Taiwan  (AIF), who addressed AI governance frameworks and the principles of responsible AI deployment in high-stakes industries, offering a cross-sector perspective that bridged policy and practice and provided broader context for the session’s discussions.
