Person-in-charge Veziane Faure is optimistic about the Taiwan market, noting a 15% annual growth rate in recent years. She believes consumer acceptance of foreign home decor is increasing, shifting from seeing these items as daily necessities to indicators of quality and taste.

Through afternoon tea sessions featuring French desserts, MDL provides interior design concepts and uses individual pieces in their loft display to demonstrate how personal accessories can create a unique atmosphere. Currently, the most important and challenging task in developing the Taiwan market is contacting local decoration and interior design units that meet specific criteria to build long-term cooperative relationships.

Preparing for a Sophisticated Market

MDL’s precise development plan and innovative approach won the 2013 CCIFT SME Innovation Award, which created the opportunity for this collaboration with Enspyre.

After visiting to understand MDL’s current operations—including manpower allocation, ideal customer profile, and potential sales of core products—Enspyre’s project manager began organizing lists and preparing sales scripts. Before the project launched, Enspyre maintained constant communication with MDL, conducting simulations to ensure the smooth execution of the project.

Furthermore, the project results effectively helped clarify terminology misunderstandings caused by local business registrations in Taiwan. Many companies listed as “decoration companies” might only handle hardware construction, while others focus specifically on interior design.
